I’ve been thinking about…friendship (Pt 2)

There is always enough

In the 2nd part of this episode of IBTA, I talk about how pivotal my friendships have been in my creative practice, the first time I performed stage and a desire to live from a place of abundance and generosity.

What if I can live with this conscious awareness that life is a gift? What if, despite all the greed and commodification and transactional nature of relationships, I can be a friend who lives in abundance, who knows that there’s always enough. There is always enough. What if I can be the same kind of friend that my friends are to me. What if I can then make work that overflows from that? What if I can collaborate with other artists who think the same?

I also make reference to podcast guest, artist and writer Makoto Fujimura and his book, Culture Care
